Cadillac: the US classic

Who doesn't know them, the opulent Cadillacs of the 50s and 60s, with their polarising tail fin design and fabulous length. The premium segment cars have been the sole focus of the brand since the company was founded in 1902. It is named after the founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, Sieur de Cadillac. Detroit is also the location and birthplace of the company and, last but not least, the brand's logo is a stylised version of Cadillac's family crest.

In Europe, the high-priced US-Americans were merely a 'niche product' that was regularly imported. Nevertheless, with the BLS, a model was produced exclusively for the European market and the unmistakable design with the vertical rear headlights also enjoys great popularity today, especially among classic car enthusiasts, and is still in demand.
